Refa Na Campaign Launch

No one should ever have to choose between paying their bills, buying food or purchasing their medication….

Yet there are sick people around us, in our community of Ariel, who cannot afford their medication and are faced with this decision every month.

Local doctors and pharmacists discovered that some of their patients with chronic illnesses were not buying their medication simply because they couldn’t afford it. A committee made up of social workers, doctors, and ethical advisors was created and “Refa Na” was born – a fund to subsidize medicine with the help of American Friends of Ariel, local pharmacies, and people like you.

Here at Friends of Ariel, we took it upon ourselves to create a crowdfunding campaign to kick-start the Refa Na Fund with a goal of $30,000 to cover the first year of Refa Na. We will make your gift go even farther by matching your donation DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR for a total amount of $60,000.

The campaign launched on Wednesday, September 16^th and will go through October 12^th. This is a perfect opportunity for those who want to give Tzedakah (charity) during the High Holidays. What an appropriate time to help those in need.

With your help, we will succeed and be able to provide the necessary financial assistance to those struggling. So, no one will ever have to face the choice between food or medicine.
