FaithWalk International Strolls into Ariel

Faithwalk 2011

Longtime friends of Ariel, U.S.-based FaithWalk International, arrived in Ariel for another visit recently. David Cerjan led the group. He and his family make a point of journeying to Ariel every year. David’s father, LTG (Ret.) Paul Cerjan, who sadly passed away about six months ago, used to join them every year as well with his wife Patricia. Pat, as always, joined the group for their return visit, keeping their Paul’s memory alive in the mountains of Samaria.

The group’s visit to Ariel included a performance by Ariel’s Senior Citizen’s choir (Halev Hacham), a visit with Mayor Ron Nachman at the Ariel Regional Center for the Performing Arts, a look at the Or Zvulun Elementary School, and a brief exercise at the Ariel National Leadership Development Center led by none other than David Cerjan. From there, the group took a brief tour of the Netzarim Community, the Lowell Milken Family Sports & Recreation Complex, and Ariel University Center.

The group also took the opportunity to plant vines, as well as tour of the security fence. Because David’s late father was a military man, and had made it a tradition to visit the nearby IDF Antenna Hill Post. The group swung by the post to say hello to the Israeli soldiers stationed there. At the end of the very busy day, the group took in a performance by Ariel’s International Folk Dancing Troupe.

Ariel appreciates FaithWalk International’s friendship and looks forward to seeing the group again next year.
