Street Piano

Background

On October 7, 2023, and throughout the Iron Swords War, the city of Ariel has endured profound loss. Members of our community were taken from us in acts of terror and in battle, leaving families, friends, and neighbors carrying deep grief.

In their honor, and in tribute to all those whose lives were cut short, we are creating a living memorial that embodies resilience, beauty, and the spirit of our community: a Street Piano in Ariel’s central Nachal Park.

This piano will not only stand as a symbol of remembrance, but also as a place of healing — inviting music, creativity, and hope to rise from pain, uniting all who call Ariel home.

The Project

The Street Piano will be open to the public, inviting passersby to pause, play, and fill the park with music.

This first step will be the cornerstone of a broader vision to enhance the park with additional benches, rest areas, and food trucks – transforming it into a vibrant hub of community, culture, and connection.

Importantly, this is not a regular piano – it is built from concrete and durable materials, ensuring that it can remain outdoors and withstand all weather conditions, making it a lasting part of the city’s landscape.

Why This Matters

  • For the families:
A meaningful memorial that honors the memory of Ariel’s sons and daughters who were lost, reflecting the full and vibrant lives they lived.

  • For the community:
A shared space that fosters creativity, togetherness, and spontaneous joy in the heart of the city.

  • For Ariel:
A lasting cultural landmark that enriches public life and stands as a symbol of resilience, hope, and love.

Your contribution will help transform grief into music, memory into joy, and loss into a living legacy
