Throughout the long, hot summer in Israel, it’s often a challenge for parents to find fun and affordable things to do with their children. It’s always a relief when an opportunity to get the kids out of the house, off their screens, and into the fresh air comes along. Even better when it’s practically in their own backyard!
These events, sponsored by the Friends of Ariel, were a great way to encourage families to spend quality time together while building community relationships. Every Monday during July and August, was a “Monday in the Park” event. Each week had a theme and was held at a different park around the city. All were invited to join in the fun and games – free of charge! These events took place during the afternoon/evening hours which was ideal for working parents.
Additionally, hundreds of families in Ariel enjoyed special outdoor movie nights with our Summer Movie Night program. Whether it was a family activity or a bunch of friends joining together to watch, movies on the Big Screen in the park is always a win!
