After meeting Ariel Mayor Eli Shaviro during his recent visit to South Florida, Jack Heintz, Pastor Dino Pedrone and members of New Testament Baptist Church were particularly keen on visiting Ariel on June 18th. Their first stop was at the city’s Center for Performing Arts where they met with Friends of Ariel Director Avi Zimmerman who gave the group an overview of the biblical and modern significance of Ariel. As part of their tour of Ariel, the group visited the Sheltered Workshop where both physically and emotionally challenged residents have found meaningful employment. The highlight of their visit was dinner with Mayor Shaviro who welcomed them to his dynamic and rapidly growing city and told them how pleased he was to have them as his guests in Ariel.
