A group of Christians from all over the United States were in for a special treat when they got a sneak peak of the Ariel musical flashmob in the works (stay tuned!) on March 19, 2014.
After this unique taste of city life, they gathered around the main stage of the Ariel Regional Center for Performing Arts for an introduction to the City of Samaria and its growth from a barren hill into a population with 20,000 residents and 15,000 students.
A driving tour took them to the temporary living quarters of evacuees from the Netzarim community evacuated from the Gaza Strip in 2005. The glimpse into their plight provided a concrete understanding of the risks and dangers involved in Jewish population transfer as a means to handle the Arab-Israeli conflict.
But Ariel’s triumph over hardship became apparent at the Lowell Milken Sports and Recreation Complex as well as at Ariel University where the group saw how Ariel provides meaningful opportunities for people of all stripes to enrich both mind and body.
