Who is the most Zionist family in Israel?
The city of Ariel will help find the answer to this question as it holds the regional leg of the Great Zionist Family Quiz on April 8, 2014, just a week a before Passover. Participating families will be challenged with questions like: “In what day during the Six Day War did the IDF liberate the Old City of Jerusalem?” and “How many Olympic medals has Israel received?” The winning family will take a cross country trip through Europe to simulate Theodor Herzl’s trek from Hungary, Austria and Switzerland to Jerusalem.
“The Quiz is small and important step towards telling the Zionist story, from the Exodus from Egypt which we’ll all celebrate next week at our Passover Seders up through the new immigrant families who will be arriving just in time to celebrate Passover in Israel, now as fully actualized Zionists,” remarked Mayor Eliyahu Shaviro.
The finals will be held at the Jerusalem Theater and broadcast on Israel’s Independence Day on Tuesday, May 6, 2014. The Great Zionist Quiz is sponsored by the World Zionist Organization and the Zionist Council in Israeli. Good luck to all!
