On November 18th, Pastor Guillermo Maldonado came to Ariel with a delegation of pastors from Florida. Pastor Maldonado is the spiritual leader of the largest Hispanic church in the US, with millions of followers internationally. He was accompanied by the president of Broward Pastors Network, Pastor Mario Bramnick, and Pastor Frank Amedia. American Friends of Ariel thanks longtime friends, Connie and Bill Wilson, for bringing Pastor Maldonado to Ariel.
The first stop in Ariel was an overview about Ariel at Mayor Ron Nachman’s office, over coffee and cake. From there, the group proceeded to the always-popular Ariel National Leadership Development Center, followed by a visit to the city’s latest and proudest addition, the Ariel Regional Center for the Performing Arts.
The group next stopped by Ariel’s Holocaust and Heroism Memorial Museum, where they met with Irena and Kuba Vadislavsky, Holocaust survivors and founders of the unique museum.
The visit with Irena and Kuba was followed by a driving tour that pointed out Ariel landmarks such as the Sports and Recreation Complex, and finally, stops at the security fence and the Antenna Hill IDF post.
Pastor Maldonado was clearly taken by what he saw and experienced. He understood Ariel’s integral role as the hub of biblical Israel and the lynchpin of Israel’s future. He was very thankful for the opportunity to visit.
American Friends of Ariel looks forward to facilitating Pastor Maldonado’s ever-developing relationship with the State of Israel.
