Gateway Church Visits Ariel

Gateway

The City of Ariel was delighted to recently host members of Gateway Church of Southlake, Texas. It wasn’t their first visit, and it won’t be their last.

Pastors Mary Jo Pierce, Marcus Brecheen, and Ben Haake all participated in the trip. After a coffee stop at Ariel’s commercial center, the group met with Mayor Ron Nachman at the Ariel Regional Center for the Performing Arts. Following their meeting they went on a tour of Ariel’s many sites of interest and achievement.

Among their stops was the Sheltered Workshop, the Ariel National Leadership Development

Center, and the Holocaust and Heroism Memorial Museum. The Museum is always cherished by the Gateway groups, not for its exhibits but for its people. Holocaust survivors Irena and Kuba are a moving and even inspirational part of the visit to Ariel. The group also received a tour of the Netzarim Community (Gush Katif), Ariel University Center, and the Security Fence.

The visit helped to strengthen the ever-developing bonds of friendship between the Gateway Church community and the City of Ariel.

Ariel looks forward to future visits from Gateway Church, and the opportunity to build upon our relationship in meaningful ways.
