Social Welfare

Promising Israel’s future means building upon our human resources. American Friends of Ariel states that every one of Ariel’s residents needs the where-with-all in order to move forward in life. When creating new initiatives, projects and programs we realize that no one can be left behind for lack of personal resources. It is for that reason that American Friends of Ariel has an ongoing and close partnership with the city’s welfare services and socially oriented volunteer organizations.
The city of Ariel is blessed with a population which is distributed across a wide spectrum of socio-economic levels. The varying economic status brings forth an important partnership between those who can give and those who need support. Volunteer organizations and individuals work to support those in need. Throughout the year American Friends of Ariel work to support those organizations and to provide what it can.
Progressive Independence
Ariel’s model for social welfare is designed to move those in need from a state of dependence to a state of independence. Both social services and volunteer organizations provide counseling and therapy in order to get people on their feet. Local programs have proven that a comprehensive rehabilitation p\approach to socio-economic challenges gets people back in the work force, similarly distancing them from frequent medical and health issues. American Friends of Ariel has found that a responsible allocation of resources can transfer from those who feel needy to those who feel the need to give.
