School's Out: Ariel's Kids are off to the IDF  
 
The last school bell still echoes in their ears – but duty calls. On July 21st Ariel's graduating teens will board buses and head for the National Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) Enlisting Event in Tel Aviv, to be followed by each of their personal drafts over the course of the coming months. Yesterday – final exams. Tomorrow – basic training.

Irena and Yaakov (Kuba) Wodzeslawske, both Holocaust survivors, founded the Holocaust and Heroism Memorial House in Ariel in 2003. “My wife and I are aware of the responsibilities of our work.

  Israel needs a new generation of leaders. From social change to ecologicalissues, from regional politics to serving as a light unto the nations of the world, today’s youth will have to provide tomorrow’s answers. 


 
TEENS Project
 
The City of Ariel is thoroughly committed to its youth. Teenagers, have the energy and the desire to make their mark, and those strengths need to be harnessed and mobilized. Teenagers need to be given the tools to succeed, to contribute and to be productive members of society.
