In early May, Beit Perach, a new community communication center, opened in Ariel. The site is an educational initiative for third to sixth grade pupils, guided by students from the Ariel University Center and overseen by Ariel's Department of Education. Partner Communications Ltd. (Orange) provides funding for the infrastructure and installation of Perach houses throughout Israel. The center in Ariel is the fifth in the country.
Mayor Ron Nachman, the Vice President of Client Marketing at Orange and the Managing Director of Project Perach officiated at the opening ceremony. A

mezuzah (Hebrew scroll placed at the entrance to a building or room) was affixed at the doorway and the site was opened.
The site includes a computer room, a kitchen, a “chill-out” corner, and study and game desks - all for the benefit of the children of Ariel.
