The Minister of Environmental Protection, Member of Knesset Gilad Erdan, visited Ariel in June. He toured the Ariel Industrial Zone, the Ariel National Leadership Development Center and the up and coming Ariel Regional; Center for the Performing Arts.

 

A discussion was later held at the Mayor’s office regarding landfills, waste separation for recycling, cross-border natural hazards, environmental education and budgeting.

 

Mayor Ron Nachman thanked the Minister for his visit and for promoting the important issue of the preservation of the environment. Minister Erdan said that Ariel needs to grow bigger and flourish, and he promised to continue to work for the city and to make use of all his authority to strengthen Ariel.
